1962
The subcontracting excavating company “Kleesch & Vorwerk” is founded in Tostedt by Friedrich Vorwerk and Wilhelm Kleesch.
1972
The name of the company is officially changed to FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG.
1975
Friedrich Vorwerk sets up the second branch of his company in Lüchow, situated near the former East/West border of Germany.
1990
The third subsidiary is set up in Halle (Saale) under the name of FRIEDRICH VORWERK Rohrleitungsbau GmbH.
1997
Founding of Irene and Friedrich Vorwerk Foundation for the financing and implementation of social projects. Friedrich Vorwerk receives the Lower Saxony Order of Merit.
1998
Friedrich Vorwerk hands over the company to his three managing directors Klaus-Dieter Ehlen, Hanjürgen Grabner and Peter Tödter.
1999
The company’s founder Friedrich Vorwerk dies at the age of 68.
2001
Expansion of the Energy Engineering division by founding the VORWERK Pipeline- und Anlagenservice GmbH in Halle as well as the takeover of the ASA Gesellschaft für Schweißarbeiten und Rohrleitungsbau GmbH in Herne, which subsequently continues to operate independently under the name VORWERK-ASA GmbH.
2002
The branch in Lüchow is integrated into the FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co) Tostedt. The four companies with their different fields of work make up the VORWERK Group.
2006
The longstanding managing director Peter Tödter dies in a tragic plane crash.
2007
Torben Kleinfeldt becomes a new managing director in the VORWERK Group.
2008
VORWERK launches hydrogen strategy and realizes technical implementation of the first green hydrogen electrolysis plant in Germany.
2012
On July, 1st, 2012, the European Pipeline Services GmbH was newly established by the shareholders Einhaus Anlagenservice GmbH and FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co). Since then, the company has taken over the testing and inspection activities for pipelines and plants from the Einhaus Anlagenservice GmbH.
50th company anniversary in Tostedt.
2013
Merger of the FRIEDRICH VORWERK Rohrleitungsbau GmbH & Co. KG in Petersberg into the FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co.) in Tostedt.
2015
Establishment of an additional location of the VORWERK Pipeline- und Anlagenservice GmbH in Tostedt which specialises in service activities for biogas upgrading plants.
2016
25th company anniversary in Halle/Saale.
2018
Addition of Mr. Kevin Loots to the management board of the VORWERK Group.
Acquisition of the plant engineering company EAS to complement the Energy Engineering division and acquisition of MESA to expand the competence in the field of electronic measurement and control technology.
2019
Acquisition of Bohlen & Doyen to expand capacity in the field of Energy Grids and Engineering as well as additional technological competence in underground power cable construction and HDD drilling (horizontal & directional drilling).
Acquisition of Energy & Environment Engineering (EEE) to expand the technology portfolio for specialized flow measurement (OrQa®), which subsequently continues to operate independently under the name VORWERK-EEE GmbH.
2020
Legal restructuring of the group of companies by founding FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group SE and FRIEDRICH VORWERK Management SE.
2021
Acquisition of KORUPP GmbH to expand capacity in the field of cathodic corrosion protecion.
IPO of FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group SE. The shares trade on the Prime Standard segment of the German Stock Exchange since March 25, 2021.
Acquisition of GOTTFRIED PUHLMANN Group to open up new regional markets and additional growth opportunities in the electricity and district heating markets.
2022
Acquisition of Hempel Aluminiumbau GmbH (HALU for short) to expand our expertise in the field of enclosures for gas pressure regulating stations and complete our entire value chain.
2023
SKS Straßenbau GmbH is renamed Gottfried Puhlmann Hamburg GmbH in order to bundle all activities in the areas of road and cable line construction in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the surrounding area in one company.
Retirement of our long-standing Management Board member Klaus-Dieter Ehlen.
Relocation of our headquarters in Tostedt from Niedersachsenstraße 19-21 to the new building at Harburger Straße 19, 21255 Tostedt.
2024
Acquisition of Seyde und Coburg Kathodischer Korrosionsschutz GmbH in April 2024 to further expand the FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group's range of services in the field of cathodic corrosion protection.
Move to Ludwigsfelde into the new company headquarters of Gottfried Puhlmann GmbH Havelländische Bauunternehmung, FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG, MESA Elektrotechnik and VORWERK-EEE GmbH.
In September 2024, Alexander Hutt began his work as a new member of the Executive Board at FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG.
